Does this ever happen to you?
When God is attempting to teach me more about who He is, I seem to see the same lesson repeated all over the place. In my Thursday morning Ladies Bible Study we are studying the Book of Ephesians. Everywhere I turn, I am seeing references to this book.
It’s also been happening as I read this new book by Seth Barnes, Kingdom Journeys. Early on in the book, Seth shares with the reader this important truth:
“To know Jesus, you have to learn how to leave. In the end, the leaving is the finding.”
And then at church this past Sunday the message included Mark 1:14-20:
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” At once they left their nets and followed him. (v 17,18)
I love when this happens. I love when God affirms His message through others. It’s like daily signposts along the road we are traveling. I know people often joke that they wish God would give them a billboard telling them which way they should be going. I would have to argue that God is constantly giving us billboards. And so often it says the same thing:
And you can’t follow and stay at the same time.
Following takes action. Following is a decision. Following is an incredible, life-changing journey!
