Prompt: Rhythm
The cadence of grace
It’s the perfect pace
A beautiful beat
I hear at His feet
It’s louder than chaos
It’s bigger than pain
It’s love with no limits
It’s depth with no end
A new beat in our hearts
The sound of fresh starts
I can hear it now play
all my fears fade away
This is so simple, but so powerful. Thanks for sharing these words. I’m stopping by to Lisa-Jo’s today and I am so glad that I did.
Thanks for stopping by, Jessica. Enjoyed your post as well!
lovely prose … lovely
Short, sweet, and to the point. I love it! π
The cadence of grace – I love that phrase! It makes grace more alive and moving, not just a stagnant theory.
I like that Janice…alive and moving.
Your words are so simple yet also so powerful.
Eileen, this beautiful! Did you really write that in 5 minutes? It makes me want to start writing poetry again.
Nope…I went over this week…but half the time I do these five minutes exercises I end up going over. Thankful for grace . π Ended up doing a lot of thinking in between words this time.
This is lovely, Eileen. You have written a great poem and expressed the concept of grace so well. Maybe James Prescott would be interested in this? Perhaps you should explore the medium more often. My thoughts on rhythm and grace also tended toward the poetic today. Though five minutes can be a real challenge! Blessings π xx
Thanks, Joy. I discovered again today that poetry really is hard to do in five minutes. I guess because you fixate a little more on each word. Poetry is out of my comfort zone.
“Itβs louder than chaos / Itβs bigger than pain.” love these lines! such truth. his grace is greater than we can ever imagine. lovely rhythm today, eileen!
Thanks, Tim!
