Anytime my family and I go to a social gathering, I inevitably volunteer to bring my seven layer dip. It’s easy to make and yummy to eat. Every time I assemble the seven layers, I am slightly (okay maybe greatly) tempted to eat the avocado that goes in as layer number two and transform my dip into a six layer dip. It takes enormous amounts of self control for me to not just inhale at least one of the two avocados I’ve bought to put in my dip.
I am happy to report that as of June 19, 2010, I have still managed to restrain myself and have settled for thoroughly licking out the inside of the bowl (and the knife) that I’ve used to cut up this fruit. But, I still take it just one gathering at a time. I can’t promise that one of these day, if you were to look really closely…my dip might only have six layers.
