Prompt: BRAVE
Don’t you love when you hear someone who we label as a hero respond to their own bravery.
I was just doing my job. I was just doing what needed to be done.
And, all though we look on in disbelief at a person’s ability to go above and beyond, I love the simple humility wrapped up in such a response.
I was just doing what needed to be done.
And when you strip everything else away, isn’t that what brave is?ย It is found in the choices and the decisions that we make every single day.ย Will we shrink back in fear or will we step forward in faith?
Brave
It comes in all shapes and sizes,
It’s the child who speaks up for the bullied during recess.
It’s the woman who faces the pain of the past and walks through fear to reach freedom.
It’s the man who speaks truth even though it hurts.
It’s making the terrifying choice of doing what your soul knows is right even when the world shouts you are crazy or it’s not safe!
Yes! I loved this post and I love the movie Brave as well. ๐

“And when you strip everything else away, isnโt that what brave is? It is found in the choices and the decisions that we make every single day.” Yes. So very true.
I love the picture! I appreciate your perspective on bravery, especially that it comes in all shapes and sizes. We are surrounded by beautiful people living bravely and we often fail to see it. Thanks for the eyes to see again.
Hi Eileen, great description of BRAVE. I think the way you blog, with your transparency, is brave and God is using that to encourage others
God bless
