Fields of Purple

Found out yesterday that the lovely fields I drive past every day on my journey into town are covered in Heal-All. I am plant ignorant and must depend on plant knowledgeable friends to educate me about vegetation. I finally remembered my camera yesterday and took a picture of this purple carpeted field. I just think it is so pretty.

And, of course, the name of this plant made me smile yesterday on my drive home from work and I woke up several times last night just thinking about that name, Heal-All.

I know someone else who can heal all.

Yesterday, I read a great guest post over at Fields of Gold (not fields of purple 😉 ) Please take a moment to check it out. It’s worth your time. I so agree that it is our responsibility to choose healing in our lives. The cure is waiting for us. We simply need to stretch out our hands and fully open our hearts to it. The Healer comes in and does the rest. And, just like these pretty fields, the beauty begins to spread and completely transforms our lives.

In the bible, Jesus asks the sick man laying on his mat a simple question. Do you want to get well? (John 5:6)

Do you want me to heal you?

When the great Healer asks us this question, it is no time to make excuses or blame others for our situation. The only thing this will do is delay the healing that is waiting for us and prolong the pain of the disease that has overtaken us.

Do you want me to heal you?

Our only response should be…Yes LORD!!

So today, my prayer is that we don’t delay our healing any longer. No more excuses. No more blaming. No more attempts to make deals with the Healer. Commit today to simply say yes to the Healer.

“Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” (John 5:8)

Amen! I love that story in John about the man on the mat. You're right, we just have to say YES! Then God will do the rest.

Amen Eileen! It's very easy to be the man on the mat and embrace our failings, but we should have no hesitation when Our Healer asks us if we want His Divine Touch!

    Have a Blessed Day!

LOVE it!! Open fields and flowers are two of my top favorites!! What a refreshing view!

Thank you for sharing about the Great Healer and the post of my blog. My prayer is that many will extend their hand and heart and in faith, reach up and say, "Yes Lord."
