This Week’s Prompt: Community
I smiled when I saw the word for the week. I said a silent prayer about the direction I should go with the topic and then I looked up and there it was. God gave me a sign! 😉 It’s the sign hanging above my desk.
I’ve shared this quote before, but it’s worth sharing again. And again. And again. It’s one of my favorites. Maybe because I know it to be true. I’ve experienced the power of authentic community in my own life.
Yesterday was Thursday. I look forward to Thursday morning every week. You see, there’s this group of ladies at my church who I am blessed to lead in small group. And this quote by Dr. Cloud, is what I hope and pray will be evident in our little circle each week.
People need each other. We need someone to encourage us with truth, love us with grace, and cheer for us with joy!
I dedicate this five-minute post to my Thursday morning peeps. I am blessed by you!
And your Thursday morning Peeps are blessed by YOU!!
Anne, I forgot to mention that this amazing community comes with some tasty food too! 😉
I love that quote Eileen! We need an atmosphere of grace and truth…. we all need that. Thanks!
Many blessings!
Isn’t it a great one!!
I love how we can rejoice with one another over God’s faithfulness and also petition the Lord for each other. This group is a blessing!!
Agree!
So, so true! Who knew one day out of the week with this special group of ladies would change my entire life ! 🙂
So glad you are there, Candice! Looking forward to our coffee date next week!
And there it was right in front of you. Love it when it is easy like that. Community is a hard word for me these days. Love that you lead a community of women in grace and truth every week. What a gift you must be to them.
Thank you for your honesty, Shelly. I just visited your post. It is hard sometimes.
Great quote, thanks for sharing Eileen! Many more blessings ahead for your little group 🙂
What a great quote. Thanks for sharing!
Love it, Eileen!
I’ve been finding out over the past few years just how much I *need* (and want) community. What a blessing it is!
