My husband and I bought a picture the other day to go over our fireplace. Since moving into our new house this summer, I’ve tested out a couple of the large framed pieces of artwork that we’ve had in our possession for years, but none of those pictures seemed to look quite right in the empty space we needed to fill.
As we stared at this picture while roaming the aisles of Garden Ridge, we realized we were both drawn to it for the same reason.
North Carolina. It reminded us of where we had been.
If our journey together was a book containing stories and chapters, my husband and I had just taken out our highlighters to capture a moment on the page of our lives worth remembering, a chapter filled with beautiful scenes worth revisiting over and over.
