I am one of them.
This was the hard and beautiful truth that changed the course of my life.
Freedom is discovered behind the doors we are most reluctant to open and even more resistant to walk through.
I am one of them.
Freedom is discovered when we become willing to step down off the platform of unspoken pride and admit our weaknesses and our struggles.
I recently read this great post from Jon Acuff called The best thing to do when you fail.
My response to this post was: “Put me in a room full of mistake makers instead of “perfect” people any day.”
I am one of them.
I found life changing healing in a room full of those people.
I love those people.
It is in this room where I feel most welcomed.
In fact, I think I’ll put my feet up and make myself at home.
Life makes sense here.
Life is beautiful here.
Here with them.
Beautiful Poetry Eileen!
It’s crazy, but we all do it. We think we are alone — we weep in our isolation. But the truth is that we are not alone. Shoulder to shoulder we stand.
Yes, so true!
If we would all realize we are imperfect people it would make a change in the way we love and accept others. Warts and all.
I agree, Bill.
Great post Eileen…thought provoking on this fourth of July morning. Blessings
