“It is true that God may have called you to be exactly where you are. But, it is absolutely vital to grasp that he didn’t call you there so you could settle in and live your life in comfort and superficial peace.”

Those are the words on my heart. Yesterday, I shared with you all a small glimpse of what that looks like for me. I have fears and doubts that creep into my mind when I think about this goal and yet the Lord seems to be addressing these fears one by one.
Lord, I am not organized enough. I write ideas on napkins.
Then take steps to become more organized.
Lord, my thoughts are so scattered and messy.
Then take the time to sort them out.
Lord, there is so much more I need to learn.
Then learn
Keep moving forward
Hi Eileen – I agree with you, you have to keep moving forward. My husband often says God can only guide you if you are moving!
God bless
Tracy
It's wonderful Eileen, that as God is calling you out of your "comfort zone", you're responding with an open and humble heart…
I'm very much looking forward to seeing how He shapes your life down this path. 🙂
Have a Blessed Day!
Love the quote, Eileen, do you mind if I share it? If we're not moving forward, then we're not growing. And the sign of a follower is growth and fruit. I don't ever want to stop growing in my walk with the Lord. I'm excited for you, Eileen. 🙂
Eileen,
Kind of funny. I posted a similar picture and parallel posting this morning on my blog at
http://jonstolpe.wordpress.com/2011/08/02/keep-going/
May God spur you on as you keep moving forward.
Jon
Thanks, Tracy and Phil!
Lisa, of course you can. I love that quote too!
Jon, I think this might be the lesson for the day… persistence and perseverance!
Even if we don't seem to be making progress, we always need to keep moving forward. He does!
Eileen,
I am there walking right beside you. I feel like He is calling me out of my comfort zone and boy is it scary. Glad to have a bloggy friend who is walking the same journey.
Blessings to Eileen.
Allison, I love how sometimes it takes looking back in hindsight in order to see the progress. More than anything, The Lord desires a heart more like His. We always seem to be looking for progress that we can see and touch.
Kandi, Just like the name of your blog…you are continuing to "Get out of the boat" I'm out there with you, friend!
Love the quote and so true! Love this post! Keep on keeping on!
Love that thought! Keep moving forward! Take the steps to be more. Great post!
I always like it when I am making any forward movement. I need to take some steps forward right now. Eight months into our move to Chicago, I am feeling a little stuck. One. step. forward.
Fondly,
Glenda
