Yesterday morning, as I drove to the dump with my trash and recycling, I’ve Always Loved You by Third Day began to play on the radio. It’s one of those songs that takes me back. Back to the end of my running days. Back to the time when I started allowing His Truth to flood every corner of my heart.
How appropriate I should hear the song again as I journeyed to the dump and recycling center. The first time I heard this song, I was driving to the dump. Not an actual dump. But God’s dump.
He invited me to journey to Him with each and every piece of trash. He showed me what needed to go. He showed me what He planned on restoring with His hands of grace.
You don’t have to throw that out, my Child. I can see the beauty in it…it’s not too late. I’m bigger than time.
Thank you, Lord, for always loving us. Thank you, that when we make the choice to dump our trash at Your feet, You make something beautiful from it!
“Great are the works of the Lord; they are to be pondered by all who delight in them…He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.” Psalm 111: 2,4
Good message Eileen. After preaching today on Mary Magdalene, I am even more sensitive to this topic. Jesus didn’t just reform her; He transformed her!! I love that He took you to the dump where you could dump your trash and then He set your feet on a different course. What a testimony!
I love the story of Mary Magdalene. And, I love that God is the complete transformation business too!
Hi Eileen, wow my friend. Such a powerful and beautiful post. Showing what a loving Father our God is.
God bless
Tracy
Thanks, Tracy!
Eileen, amen!
God is good! Thanks, Margaret!
