My Inner Perfectionist Loves These Odds

You are a king then! said Pilate.
Jesus answered, “You are correct in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this reason I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
John 18:37

For this reason…to testify to the truth

Jesus had one mission for his short life on this earth.

I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus could not have spelled it out any clearer for us.

Do you have questions? Do you have doubts?

Then the most important decision you can make today is to spend some time getting to know this Man.

And the most important decision you can make tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that, is to spend some time getting to know this Man.

Who does He claim to be?
How did He live is His life?

Resolve today to ignore the petty arguments. Decide today to set aside your apprehensions. Commit to fixing your eyes in one direction. Ask Him for an undivided heart.

We are given an amazing promise in Scripture. If we seek Him with all our heart and with all our soul then we will find Him.

Do you hear that? When we seek Him with all our heart…we will win. There are very few things in life that we can pursue that come with a 100% guarantee for success. As a recovering perfectionist, who tends to like getting things right, this promise encourages me and fills me with joy.

When I seek Him with all my heart, I can’t lose. I can’t fail. Yes!! 🙂
