Running towards a goal

One of my goals this year is to run a 1/2 marathon. There, I’ve put it in writing for all the world to see. My husband and I have both registered for theDismal Swamp Stomp this April. Anyone want to join us?

My feeling is that any day I am too busy to run is a day that I am too busy.

Hey Eileen. It was your last post that really inspired me about starting over, erasing the doubts, keep looking ahead and reminding myself that I can do it. Perhaps you will share your testimony about starting over?

    Hey Kandi,

Glad to hear the post encouraged you. Yes, I will share mine. Many of my past posts touch on portions of my journey of starting over but I don't think I've really ever shared it specifically. Let me give it some thought. I tend to ramble if I don't organize first. Thanks for getting me to think about it. I am grateful all over again for the journey!

Running has always reminded me of my spiritual journey. When I get tired I start reaching for branches, people, whatever is available to help me get through when Im tired. But all God has ever required is that I keep my eyes forward and upward looking towards Him. Not relying on anything but him!
