The gift of salvation
Sometimes the journey of unwrapping the gift of salvation will start with us untying the outside bow and challenging Jesus to a tug-of-war match with it. Sometimes we come to Him kicking and screaming. Sometimes it’s not a joyful altar call experience. Sometimes it’s awkward and ugly.
But, I think, that’s one thing I love most about my Savior. The journey getting to Him and the journey with Him doesn’t have to be done eloquently or flawlessly.
Jesus just says, come…I’ll do the rest.
Eileen,
What a precious gift we have in Jesus, we can come as we are, flawed and little beaten up and He will take us as we are, just come to Him and let Him to do the rest.
Blessings to you Eileen, hope you are having a wonderful vacation.
Beautiful Eileen!!
Jesus just says come and I’ll do the rest ~ I LOVE that! There’s such freedom in your words, Eileen. Our journey to Christ and with Christ doesn’t have to look the same as someone else’s journey.
