Have you ever been at that point during a difficult season in your life when you weren’t quite sure which step to take next? Or maybe, you did know which direction you needed to move. Maybe, you could see that you were at point A and you needed to find a way to get to point B. However, the path you were being asked to travel down looked impossible.
I’ve been there too. And it’s at this point when I’ve found myself crying out in frustration, “How God? How am I ever going to get there? It’s too much!” And, in my desperation, I hear it. I hear His reassuring voice whispering truth into my troubled soul…
Too much? Not for Me it isn’t. Nothing is impossible for Me. Trust Me.
I think, other than God’s grace, God’s peace is one of the most beautiful blessings that we have access to after making the decision to follow Him.
When I look back over my life, it’s always these times of uncertainty when I’ve experienced God’s peace in the most amazing way. These have been the faith growing moments in my life and the times when I came to the realization that it was humanly impossible for me to navigate successfully into the unknown all on my own. I needed His help. I needed His guidance.
When we become willing to accept this truth, Peace shows up. The sweet Prince of Peace rides onto the scene to rescue us. He swoops us up into His strong arms and comforts us. He travels with us. He guides us down the dark, unfamiliar roads stretched out in front of us. He takes over in our weakness.
If you are facing an impossible situation today remember that His peace is available to you. It’s a beautiful gift He offers to us everyday. When we acknowledge our desperate need for Him, He assures us that we don’t have to be afraid, we don’t have to worry. We can find rest.
Seek Him and find peace.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ Romans 5:1
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
Great peace have those who love your law,
and nothing can make them stumble. Psalm 119:165
How do you remind yourself to seek peace when the journey looks impossible?
