As I sat down this morning to spend time with the Lord, my heart was planning on rushing through it.
The to-do-list is growing and the minutes on the clock are ticking away. Just a few minutes, Lord, and then I need to do this and this and this…
It was then I heard the whisper…
and I will give you eyes to see
Make time for Me
and I will give you strength to do
Make time for Me
and I will give you peace instead of anxiety
Remember Me
Remember what I am capable of doing with a surrendered life
Remember what I did with your surrendered life
Do you think your busy schedule is too big for Me?
Hand it over, child
I’ve got this time thing all figured out!
Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!
And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. Proverbs 4:7
So powerful! We need to make time for God above all else. Great encouragement for today!
Hi Eileen – so true. The best way to start a hectic day is with the Lord and somehow He makes it possible to get through everything. Great post, great encouragement!
God bless
Tracy
Wonderful truth today, Eileen. I'm sensing a theme in the blogging world today. God wants us to seek Him first and trust Him to take care of the rest.
Eileen – This part gave me chills…"Remember Me
Remember what I am capable of doing with a surrendered life." Such a great reminder…it is not our strength…but His. Boy do I need to hear this. Daily! 🙂 Blessings my friend ~ jen
Love this post and a great reminder. Visiting your blog from others that I explored today from Jen's list. Great to visit here and I will be back
Getting wisdom is crucial, without it what we do matters very little. I find I have to remind myself consistently though. Isn't it sweet that He reminds us that He has everything we need! Thanks for the reminder.
What a powerful whisper Eileen…
It's difficult sometimes in our hectic lives, to place the importance on our time with the Lord that we need to. It's amazing though, that when we put Him FIRST, everything else just seems to fall into place.
Have a Blessed Day!
Yes, yes, yes! Thank you for this reminder, Eileen. I remember this, too, when I feel rushed. Rushed sometimes doesn't allow my heart to fully be "in it." And I try to remember this when my son brings me a book to read to him or a toy to play with. These moments are precious and limited… I can put down whatever I'm doing and just BE with him.
