What’s Your Favorite Movie Line?

While out for a bike ride with my husband and my son the other day the topic of movies came up.

My husband mentioned to our son that his favorite movie line of all time could be found in the movie, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. It’s when Frodo tells his best friend Sam…

“I’m glad to be with you, Samwise Gamgee, here at the end of all things.”

So, I’m curious. What is your favorite movie quote? I would love to know.

I will start. Many of you know that my favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption. My favorite line of all time is when Andy Dufresne says this to his friend Red…

So what’s yours? Leave a comment below.

I am not a big movie buff…I can't even think of a movie line right now LOL! The only one that comes to mind is "the truth? you can't handle the truth!" I remember it's Cuba Gooding JR. and Tom Cruise (before he went totally weird) at least I think it was them…

My daughter and I like to use movie lines with each other. Two of our favorites come from Titanic – "You're so stupid Rose" (I say this to my daughter a lot, lol) and "Jack, come back". Our other two favorites come from the movie The Proposal with Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock – "Congratulations, I'm a hundred years old." and "I don't understand, why are you wet?" We're weird, I know. 🙂

That is my hubby's favorite movie. 🙂

I can't think of just one line. I LOVE movies, the chick flick sappy ones. 🙂 But right now my favorite line is from Courageous. "I don't want to be just good enough." I don't want to be just a good enough mother, wife, sister, daughter, friend or minister. I want to fulfill these roles God has called me to the fullest.

Field of Dreams…"Dad, Do you want to have a catch?" Love the movie (my favorite of all time), and the quote represents many catches with my dad. I wish we lived closer, so we could have more times together like these.

    "She's a delight . . . this girl of yours is fun. F.U.N." from WHAT'S UP, DOC?
My husband and I say this to each other all the time when we are having an especially good time.

Allison, that was from A Few Good Men. Great line!

Lisa, it sounds like you and your daughter have a great relationship! Love inside jokes like this. 🙂

Jenifer, Great line. I have still not had a chance to see that movie. Really want to!

Jon, I LOVE that movie. And that scene always makes me (and my hubby) cry. 🙂

Pam, Very nice! That make me smile.

Arny, Is that from Dumb and Dumber? That movie is SO dumb…but in a good way 🙂

Every line from the Princess Bride!!

"Halo, my name is Inigo Montoya, you keeled my father, prepare to die!"

Great choices! I love both those movies! There are so many I draw inspiration from, it's difficult to pick one. I'll have to give it some thought… The movie "Creator" has quite a few, but I'm not remembering any exact quotes at the moment.

    Thanks for sharing Eileen!

    Have a Blessed Day!

I was unable to watch the movie clip, but if it is the line I am thinking it is, it is my favorite line in the whole movie. When Andy tells his friend Red, "You either get busy livin or get busy dying".

I have seen that movie so many times I can recite the lines from memory.

Phil, I don't think I've seen that. I will need to check it out!

Kandi, That IS the line. I'm like you, I can recite all the lines too. 🙂
