Beautiful Waves

It’s Friday and time for another link-up with The Gypsy Mama. Friday is a time when we “write for 5 minutes not worrying if everything is just right.” Come join in the fun HERE.

If you think you know it all, you’re a fool for sure;
real survivors learn wisdom from others.
Proverbs 28:26 Message

I gravitate towards people who are real
I’m drawn to vulnerable
like I’m drawn to the ocean

I’m compelled to spend time with real
I want to bury my feet in the warm, inviting sand
I want to talk about the waves of life

The big ones
the crashing ones
the calm relaxing ones

I find freedom and healing on this beach
I find laughter that springs from my gut
I find smiles born from tears

I find joy

I really enjoyed this Five-minute-Friday. I love the rhythm of this – it’s just like waves. Beautiful poem and beautiful thoughts – I am also drawn to those who are real. Like diamonds, even if it is more rough, it’s still more precious than the fake. Thank you for sharing.

Mary, other than my “community” beach…my family and I love going to the real beaches on the Outer Banks of NC… about an hour from where we live!

It’s my way of trying to lure all of my blogging friends to come visit me so we can spend the day at the beach. 😉
