On December 23rd I said to my son when he jumped out of bed…”Happy Christmas Eve, Eve!”
He laughed and said it back to me. Then he said that after Christmas is over we will have to say, Happy Christmas Eve,Eve,Eve,Eve,Eve,Eve,Eve,Eve,Eve,…
I think you probably get the idea. We will need 364 Eves before Christmas comes again.
The anticipation of waiting for Christmas to come. I love it. The closer it gets the more excited we get. If you have children, you can’t help but get caught up in the thrill of the season. It’s filled with so much hope.
My desire is to live with this sense of anticipation every day of the year. Eagerly waiting and eagerly expecting.
But there’s far more to life for us. We’re citizens of high heaven! We’re eagerly waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthly bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He’ll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him. (Philippians 3: 20-21 MSG)
