Through a fever induced fog, I sent a text message to my husband yesterday afternoon.

If you have time could you pick up ginger rail or sprite.

ginger rail?   I know that’s not right.  I sat and stared at my phone, wracking my brain. I could not remember how to spell it.

Oh well.  I pushed the send button. I’ll blame it on auto correct.

I leaned back on the couch and closed my eyes.  A few minutes later, the word popped into my mind. I remember!

ale!  not rail!

Later in the day when my husband arrived home, I asked him  “Did you remember to get the Ginger Ale or Sprite?”

“Oh, no…I forgot. I’m sorry.”

He headed back out and came home with a bottle of Sprite and a bag of chocolate.

Chocolate…a word I will always remember how to spell…even with a fever.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I just remembered, I need to eat some chocolate and rest my eyes some more.
