More lifeThe more life you give, the more glory you display,

and stretch the borders to accommodate more living! Isaiah 26:15 Message

I don’t ever remember reading this translation of Isaiah 26:15 before.  It’s beautiful.  I love scripture that reminds my heart of the vast and wide open living arrangements we find in relationship with Christ.

It made me think of the following verses and I reread them again this morning.

“The boundary lines have fallen for me
in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.” Psalm 16:6 HCSB

“God, the one and only—
I’ll wait as long as he says.
Everything I hope for comes from him,
    so why not?
He’s solid rock under my feet,
breathing room for my soul,…”  Psalm 62: 5-6 Message

And then I thought about the heavy yokes we often shackle ourselves to instead of living, moving, and breathing in this freedom.

“My yoke is easy and my burden is light…”

My yoke is pleasant.

My yoke has an endless supply of oxygen.

With His yoke, we will never feel trapped, smothered or imprisoned.

And, if we ever do, then we must go back to the Truth.

We must go back to the promise of more not less

light not heavy

spacious not cramped

free not enslaved.

Today, I claim Christ’s promise of MORE.

Love, grace, life, hope, peace, joy, comfort…super-sized for US!
