I hope you’ve all had a beautiful weekend. Our weather here in North Carolina has been unseasonably warm. I am loving it!
It’s Monday again so you know what that means. Here on The Scenic Route we like to begin the work week singing. So let’s get started.
In the small group my husband and I are a part of our group is currently looking at how different individuals throughout scripture have dealt with discouraging circumstances. Last night we looked at the Apostle Paul. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 was one of the verses we read, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
This morning I read this verse in Psalm 30 “weeping may remain for a night but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
A song I haven’t heard in years came to mind and I thought I would share it today. It’s “Trading My Sorrows” by Darrell Evans. We used to sing this song in church years ago. I remember it because it was during a season in my life when I needed to remind myself of these truths over and over.
I hope the message in this song encourages someone else today!
Now it’s your turn. What song is stuck on replay in your hearts today? I would love to hear it.
