Exodus 14:14 stood out to me this morning. I first read the NIV translation. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
I then decided to look it up in a few other translations.
The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest. ~AMP
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. ~KJV
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” ~ESV
The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”~NLT
God will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!” ~ The Message
I noticed that although each translation was slightly different, there was one common denominator. We have someone fighting for us. Today, I found this very encouraging. So often we make the mistake of thinking we have to do something, or be something, or say something. And then the Lord speaks truth into our hearts.
Stop. I’m gonna fight for you. Just let me do what I do best.
When the waters of life threaten to overtake you. Remember who is in your corner.
Amen!

Amen Eileen… Sometimes the hardest thing we have to do is to get out of His way, and know He’s always there for us.
Great reminder!
Have a Blessed Day!
I get in his way a lot. Glad He’s patient with us.
Amen! Great reminder and encouragement, Eileen!
