Prompt: HERE
How did I get here?
Have you ever asked yourself that before? I can remember two significant seasons in my life when I asked that question. The first time was about 13 years ago. I can still see that girl in the dark, sitting in the middle of her bed, hugging her knees, and trying to rock the pain away.
The second time was about 12 years ago, I was out on a walk with my dogs and looking out over the water. I had no idea of the beauty waiting around the corner. And, at that moment, it didn’t matter. Because for the first time in a very long time I knew that here was exactly where God wanted me to be.
As I sit here today typing these memories again this morning, my lip quivers and the tears stream.
Grace
Thank you, again, Lord, for bringing me here.
This is one of my favourite worship songs. It’s so good sometimes to reflect on where we are and how we got there. Amazing that you are in the place God wants you to be, I’m still working on it!
It is a journey, Jess. And, even though there are still days I know God is trying to lead me forward, we are traveling together now!
Oh yes, Eileen … grace, grace!
Thanks, Linda!
Grace. What a wonderful place to be!
🙂
I’m so glad you are here too! “here I am to bow down” Now I’ve got this song stuck in my head and I’ll be forever thinking of you when I hear it!
Be Blessed my friend.
It’s a good song! It came to mind as I was typing the post this morning.
God is always Here~wherever that is for each one of us…I love that!
Keep up the God work.
Thanks, Lori!
Eileen this is beautiful!
Thanks, Ruth!
So very beautiful.
Beuatiful!
I’m asking myself that question right now! But I am grateful that no matter how many times I wonder how I got here, I never have to wonder whether He’s still here with me. I know He is. Thanks for a lovely post (and I love that song too!).
To stop, look back and see His grace is simply grace all over again. Beautiful words and a beautiful song you shared.
Your post makes me want to know more! Especially the good part when you knew that God had you right where He wanted you. It’s a blessing to be in the center of His will.
Thanks for leaving a comment on Amanda’s Books and More!
“There’s no such thing as ‘all of a sudden'”
Every time i get off course, it’s usually by a hundred small diversions that got me to that place.
