Monday Song Swap

It’s Monday. So, you know what that means, don’t know? It’s time for Share A Song Monday. Here are a few reasons I like swapping songs along The Scenic Route:

1. It help us (me) to begin the week focused on gratitude. When looking at the days of the week, Monday often has a bad reputation. Sometimes it’s hard to get back into the swing of the work week. It is my desire that one of the tunes someone shares here will help to put a little “swing” into your Monday. 🙂

2. I don’t know about you, but God often speaks to me through music. I will wake up in the middle of the night with a song in my heart. Sometimes it will be specific lyrics and other times just the melody playing. God can use anything in our daily lives to help refocus our hearts in His direction. It is my desire that you will hear something here on Mondays that God will then use to touch and grow your heart.

3. I love hearing what you all are currently listening to. I love hearing the stories behind your song choice. And, more than anything, I love being introduced to new music…or reintroduced to songs I might have forgotten about.

So thanks for being a part of Share A Song Monday!

The song I am sharing today is sung by The Civil Wars. This song choice has a good news-bad news story behind it:

The good news: My husband and I had tickets to see this duo perform back in October.
The bad news: The lead singer came down with laryngitis and could not perform.
The good news: The lead singer recovered and the band rescheduled concert for December 6.
The bad news: That’s the same night as my son’s Christmas play at school.
The good news: I’m sharing one of their songs here today!

Now, it’s your turn! What song has been on repeat in your heart lately? Please share a link to the song below.

Love this song, Arny! My favorite version is done by Bare Naked Ladies and Sarah MacLachlan. I listen to it all year round. 🙂

LOL, Jenifer. NO problem…it just makes it more easily accessible. That’s a new one for me. I like it! Thanks for sharing it.
