Well, it seems to have solved the problem. My friend Henry “the bird whisperer” suggested hot seeds. It worked. There is food in my bird feeders this morning! My first visitor yesterday was a beautiful red cardinal who has come back for seconds and thirds. Then I saw a few finches and a couple other UFFs (Unidentified Feathered Friends). I now need a bird book so I can figure out what I am looking at.
Can anybody suggest a good bird book?
A special thanks to my dog, Bisbee. Her job as Protector-Of-The-Feeder was short-lived, but she made us proud. She is celebrating her retirement from The Force with a dog biscuit and nap.
