You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing.
You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
that I might sing praises to you and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever! (Psalm 30: 11-12)

I read a great post yesterday by Jon Acuff, author of Quitter. If you missed it, you can read it HERE. His post discusses the difference between living as if God is a period God or an exclamation point God.
In the Psalm written above, I’m fairly certain it reflects which way David chose to see God. I’m also fairly certain it wasn’t just his morning cup of coffee that caused his heart to overflow with joy. It was joy that came from knowing…really knowing His Savior.
Knowing God not only transforms your life…
it also transforms your perspective of who God is.
it also transforms your perspective of who God is.
Which God do you know?
Do we have a heart knowledge of God or just a head knowledge? David had a heart knowledge. He KNEW God and I want to KNOW Him too.
Great post Eileen. I love knowing God and getting to know Him more each day!
Hi Eileen. Great post. I want more heart knowledge of God. I want to feel that joy bubbling up from inside in confidence that He is my Saviour. I reckon David was a very emotional person but no matter what he was feeling, his confidence was always in God. Thats my goal. No matter what comes my way, I want to KNOW Him, so I can handle anything.
God bless
Tracy
Great post Eileen, the last two weeks I have been reading through Isaiah, I am not exactly sure why I wasn't getting much out of it, then I realized I was getting something out of it, I was getting to know God. I want to always be going deeper with Him, know Him like David did.
Blessings to you Eileen.
Love the image choice Eileen… I think you and I must have coffee in our bloodstreams sometimes. 🙂
I know for me, I love feeling that "exclamation point God" when I worship him. It highlights a sense of passion, and urgency in my relationship with Him, and gives it the sense of importance that it demands.
Great post!
I want to know GOD deeper! And I want to fall deeply inlove with HIm!
I'll continue to run after God's heart!
really knowing…pursuing Him and Him pursuing me..He can totally satisfy can't He? happy holiday weekend Eileen:)
